ESPN 在美國時間 1 月 12 日宣布將和 Kobe Bryant 所經營的 Granity Studios 影視公司合作，推出全新籃球節目《精益求精》（暫譯）。



ESPN 的新聞稿寫道：

“The basketball analysis show will premiere in March 2018 on ESPN and will provide insights from one of the greatest players of all time.”
「這個以籃球分析為主的節目將會在 2018 年 3 月於 ESPN 首播，節目將由史上最偉大的球員提供個人觀察與洞見」

“premiere”「首播」、「首映」，也可以當作「首映會」。「試映」則是 “test screening” 或是 “preview”「搶先看」，而「預告片」是 “trailer”。

這個新節目將會由 Bryant 本人主持，透過他的角度來分析前一天的 ESPN 所轉播的 NBA 賽事，Bryant 將特別專注在於提供年輕球員建議上，希望能透過節目帶給更多新生代籃球員啟發。

“game film”「比賽影片」，也可以用 “game reel” 來替換。”reel” 和 “film” 都有「影帶」、「膠卷」之意。 “highlight reel” 則是「精彩片段」。

新節目以下半季球賽以及季後賽為主，一季預計將播出 15 集，試探市場水溫。然而，這其實已經是 Bryant 和 ESPN 合作的第三個專案，前兩個實驗計畫都沒有獲得預期的迴響。ESPN 副總裁 Kevin Wildes 表示：

“Having an all-time great like Kobe share the same analysis he offers current players will be a tutorial for elite athletes around the world and the ultimate inside access for viewers.”
「像 Kobe 這樣史上頂尖的球員，能夠分享他傳授給現役球員的球賽解析，提供給全球頂尖運動員絕佳的教材，也讓觀眾能有一窺籃球奧秘的機會」

“tutorial”「教材」，當形容詞時則是「私人指導」。若是說「一步一步學」、「手把手」的教材，則會在前面加上副詞 “step-by-step”。”tutor” 則是「私人教師」或是「助教」。
