美國時間 12 月 2 日，丹佛金塊於主場對上洛杉磯湖人的中場時，百事中心（Pepsi Center）將升起 1980 年代中後期的頂尖雙能衛之一，Lafayette “Fat” Lever 的 12 號球衣，予以退休，對這位效力球隊 6 個賽季，留下”抄截隊史第一、助攻隊史第二、得分隊史第七、籃板隊史第八”，這些全能成績證明了他的球衣為何可以放在主場館的上空。







這也是金塊隊史繼 Byron Beck 的 40 號球衣、David Thompson 的 33 號球衣、Dan Issel 的 44 號球衣、Alex English 的 2 號球衣和 Dikembe Mutombo 的 55 號球衣後，第六位退休背號的金塊球員；特別的是百事中心上方還懸掛著金塊 1980 年代總教頭 Doug Moe 為金塊拿下總計 432 場勝利的 432 號球衣，這也是當年信任他的教練，畢竟他在轉隊前待在拓荒者隊的那兩年，表現與金塊時期如雲泥之別。

Fat Lever 在 1984-1990 年之間，效力 474 場，平均可攻下 17 分、7.6 顆籃板、7.5 次助攻與 2.5 次抄截，共為金塊隊拿下高達 46 次的大三元（含季後賽的三次）；1985 年助球隊拿下分區冠軍，西區決賽 1：4 惜敗給洛杉磯湖人，1986-1987 賽季拿下領銜全聯盟的 16 次大三元，總計兩次全明星、一次 NBA 聯盟第二隊、一次 NBA 防守第二隊的豐富經歷。







金塊總裁 Josh Kroenke 在金塊官網上表示：
